His music takes in the ambient techno, IDM, hip hop and indie rock genres.  He has made a significant impact on the music industry and has had a diverse career spanning many areas of the music scene.

In 1986 he also became a DJ and released many solo albums. One of his most succesful albums, Texturology, finished in the top 3 of the Indie Album Chart.

1994 saw Beaumont Hannant spread his musical wings further and started to produce remixed for the likes of Björk and Ned’s Atomic Dustbin. He also took on the management of Shed Seven.
